A few members of the group try their skill at spinning yarn.

The women chat and tend to their children as they weave in a large circle. The patterns they weave are very complex; most of the women have words they chant to help them remember what steps to do next. There is a gentle hum in the air as the women sit chanting while quickly moving their hands and arms. After the weaving demonstrations, we join members of the weaver's extended family for a traditional lunch in their home.

Later the same afternoon, Leylys conducted the group on a walking tour...

Within the monastery church of Santo Domingo, we find the remains of the grandest of all the Incan Temples of the Sun. Unfortunately, little remain to be seen. The walls were once covered with sheets of gold and studded with emeralds and turquoise, but the Spanish Conquistadors removed all that. Later, when the monastery was built on the site...
