When we got to the top, the clouds parted and we were rewarded by this mist-shrouded view of the ruins of Machu Picchu. Then we turned around and... ![]() ...took this neat picture of the pointed summit of Huayna Pichhu some 20 feet or so farther up the trail. Wow, what a great experience! What a wonderful sense of accomplishment! ![]() There was another mountain rhododendron growing at the summit. ![]() Sylvia rehydrates and rests before descending. It takes us less than half the time to climb down the mountain as it did to climb up. ![]() We reach the ruins and stop to take a picture of this fountain, made a bit stronger by the rain. ![]()
