The next day, we all arise very early to catch the train to Machu Picchu. Leylys is obviously extremely tired. His job keeps him busy from early morning to late evening...and then often after we go to sleep, he has other necessary business to attend to.

The train travels next to a roaring river.

It is a two-and-a-half-hour train trip. The vegetation gets more lush as we move closer to the jungle where Machu Picchu is located.

There is a hydroelectric power station on the river.

We arrive in Machu Picchu and check into our hotel. This picture is taken from the balcony of our hotel home in Machu Picchu. We are lucky enough to have a room with a balcony that overlooks the raging river!
