Next, we stop at the Pisac market, one of the last remaining traditional native markets in the Sacred Valley. Ninety percent is covered with tourist merchandise, but the rest is an authentic native Quechua market. Here, we walk through the tourist portion and spot some children returning from choir practice at the local church.

The native Quechua market. Mostly home-grown vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds are for sale. In the meat section, there are guinea pigs, pork, chicken, and more...

Carrots, bananas, and potatoes are for sale by this woman.

Native women carry their purchases in brightly colored woven slings on their backs.

The market is alive with colors.
