Outside in the courtyard, the grandfather is weaving in a shady corner.

We visit the other house that shares this courtyard and we find a similar arrangement of space and belongings. In this house, a young girl shows us how she works the treadle sewing machine.

We return to our hotel in Urubamba. The next morning, we rise early. On the way to breakfast, we see mist hanging on the hills, and women setting their fine craft work out for display and sale.

This woman is selling beautiful woven luggage.

Another view of the garden in our hotel.
