A view down the valley from the terraces.

Back in the living city of Ollantaytambo, Leylys guides the group down the narrow streets on our way to visit a Quechua Indian family in their home. Home visits are a significant part of the Overseas Adventure Travel experience and are part of every trip.

Along the way, we see a boy on a bicycle navigating the narrow streets.

We enter the courtyard of the homesite we are visiting. Two families live off this single courtyard. Besides the clothes drying on the line, the courtyard also contains chickens running loose and in cages.

The first family lives in this simple, dirt-floored adobe house. It consists of a single room with a very small sleeping loft. One bed and a ancient sewing machine are the only furniture.
