We had two big tables for our group of 18: a table for 10 by the window, and another table for 8 immediately across the aisle.

Every night we mixed up the people sitting at each table, so everyone got a chance to sit by someone different and moved from table to table. We liked it, but it confused the waiters...especially when we'd do it half way through dinner!
